Local Designer to Share Feng Shui Tips Via Radio Broadcast

November 28, 2001, Bakersfield, CA – Cheryll Gillespie, Canada’s own diva of design, will broadcast her one hour national radio show December 16^th with a special Kern County guest who will be giving feng shui and interior design tips to our Northern neighbors.

Debra Blackmon, local feng shui and interiors expert, was recruited from Bakersfield for an ‘At Home with Cheryll Gillespie’ guest appearance.  She will make her debut on Canada’s popular design program live via telephone for CORUS Radio Network, interviewing with the dynamic Canadian radio host. 

“The one hour, call-in talk show is a great lifestyle program that keeps consumers abreast of the hottest decorating trends… and feng shui is hot,” says Blackmon, “but I’m sure I was selected for this radio interview for my good looks!” 

Actually, Blackmon was chosen for the interview because she is a trained feng shui practitioner, member of American Society of Feng Shui, and an IDS Associate designer. 

Her membership in Interior Redesign Industry Specialists is what caught the attention of production managers in Canada.  IRIS is responsible for the unbelievable, magic room-transformations on HGTV’s hit program Decorating Cents.

“The re-design segment of Decorating Cents is one of the best things to happen for consumers.  It vividly and dramatically illustrates what can be done to a space using only what a homeowner already owns.  I am very privileged to be a member of this group,” stated Blackmon. 

“I hope Bakersfield will tune in to Cheryll Gillespie’s show December 16^th and again on January 7^th, 2002 when I will work with Cheryll on her other radio program, Interiors by Cheryll.”
