About Interior Redesign & Staging Training with IRIS 

Unlike other redesign organizations, IRIS is a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to communication, commitment and camaraderie within the interior redesign community.

When you choose an IRIS instructor you’ll be well prepared to begin your own business as a certified interior redesigner/stager.  All IRIS instructors incorporate at least three different hands-on challenges within the 5-day professional course.  Each challenge, in different homes with different experiences, leads to the same conclusion: you will have built confidence in your approach to a diverse set of decorating dilemmas and solutions, building a strong foundation for your successful business. 

Redesign for Real Estate…

Additionally, redesign is the foundation upon which real estate staging is based – being able to place furniture, hang art and accessorize to highlight the selling features of the home.  Once you learn the basics of redesign, you can both stage a home for sale and redesign a client’s new home for the move-in.  With at least three days of hands-on practice in redesign/staging basics during the five-day training, you are totally prepared to stage a home for sale, and do the move-in on the other side of the transaction.

Fusing your knowledge within a small classroom setting…
Professional IRIS training consists of classroom and field practice, incorporating personal attention in small class formats.  Reference manuals, one-hundred pages plus, include fundamental lessons in the step by step process of redesign/staging – hanging art, accessory placement, basic color theory and decorating principles, successful lighting design, and how to interpret your client’s needs.  Critical details of starting a small business are also included in your training manual - essential business forms, fundamental details of starting, marketing & promoting a small business and consultation and fee structuring guidelines.  All the foundational informational tools you will need to get your business off the ground are part of the IRIS approved extensive and intensive five-day programs.

Walk hand-in-hand with IRIS…
Continued coaching is just an email away from IRIS members and your trainer.  Once you become an IRIS member, you will have the opportunity to network with other redesigners on the Members Only Message Board, ask specific questions about your redesign/home staging dilemmas, share marketing strategies and decorating ideas, discover the latest and greatest tools, and have access to exclusive information on our Members Only Page.  Finally, each year you’ll have a chance to take in the big picture at the annual IRIS conference, get inspiration from well-known industry leaders and come together with fellow redesigners in an atmosphere of camaraderie, education and exhilaration!  Your training does not end when you return home.  Your IRIS instructor and the IRIS organization offer continuous support to help you succeed, validating your decision to select an IRIS trainer!
